Fairmont Olympic Hotel Wedding

Our team met up with Kaitlin early in the morning at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel as she began the process of becoming a beautiful bride. The groom and his men arrived several hours later and had a separate room a few floors up. At noon, the “first look” unfolded as Kaitlin exited the elevator into Derek’s arms as her bridal party cheered.

We then ventured outside to Luly Yang, the boutique where Kaitlin found her dress. The shop was closed and we had prearranged access to the shop’s streetfront windows which we used fully and had a blast! After about 5 minutes of shooting, we had a group of 20 bystanders gawking at everyone in the windows.

You can’t have a wedding without a ceremony and the Spanish Foyer at the Fairmont is amazing. Kaitlin entered the room through parted curtains at the top of the stairs and walked down the isle to meet up with Derek. Afterwards, they all celebrated and signed the certificates upstairs in the Kensington Room. While the guests enjoyed appitizers, I had Kaitlin and Derek for a few minutes for photographs down the spiral staircase.

The reception was held in the even larger Spanish Ballroom with a central dancefloor flanked on either side by nicely decorated tables complete with pumpkins as table numbers. This was quite an enjoyable assignment!

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out Kaitlin and Derek’s Greenlake engagement film we made for them.
